Letter From The President

Situated on the crossroads of Michigan, Jackson has a rich history in innovation and manufacturing. At one point in time, over twenty different cars were made in Jackson. The first electric car horn was invented here in 1911 and the car radio in 1926. Jackson is home to companies rich in heritage and tradition, with long legacies of dedication to the community expanding over a hundred years — including, but not limited to, Alro Steel, Consumers Energy and Dawn Food Products and many more.

Carrying on the tradition of commitment to innovation, manufacturing and dedication to the community, Jackson Young Professionals (JxnYP) was formed in April of 2014. As a new organization, there are endless opportunities for JxnYP members to create new realities in our community, manufacture fun and give of our time and talents to make Jackson a great place to live, work and play.

Based on JxnYP’s accomplishments in the last year, I know the group looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the community and leaving their own legacy. I look forward to having YOU be a apart of the impact and excitement.

Thank you for visiting our brand new website! Please reach out to our Board of Directors or any member to learn more about our organization, network with other young professionals, or to get involved in the community.
